DPF battle vid
We have to admit to not really following the MC battle scene in recent times. Having checked out some Jump Off stuff online a few years back, it didn't really appeal too much, mainly seeming to consist of shouty people hurling insults at each other, mixed with a few duff jokes.
Maybe we're missing something..
Anyway we thought we should bring to your attention a recent Don't Flop battle featuring our very own DPF.
Apparently now the battles don't even use beats, it's all pre-written and it seems to have got shoutier and more insult-y.
We gotta say we think its all a bit weird..
That all being said we think DPF shines in this. When it comes to the sick punchlines, he never disappoints. And he comes with some truly sick punchlines here. Best to remember there is no PC in DPF, so perhaps not one for the easily offended..but if you're not one of them, this definitely should raise a smile or two.
We weren't going to say anything about the inexplicably angry bloke he's battling.. he kinda reminds us of the beardy angry guy from Popeye with his eye-bulging huffy-puffy routine. But the crowd seem to go for it, so what we do know.. Oh yeah, and one of the judges marked DPF down for freestyling some lyrics..
