DPF album out now
So after a few years fermentation, we finally got to release DPF's album a little earlier this year.. And it came as a surprise to many, press and punters alike, that such a well-rounded, lyrical and charismatic album could seemingly have come out of nowhere, put together by a guy they'd never heard of before.. Well DPF is one of the country's best-kept hip-hop secrets, despite having clocked up in the region of 20 appearances on records over the past few years, whether through his own solo EP releases on Son, or guest appearances with Cappo, Kashmere and the like. Those that knew were waiting with eager ears for the solo full-length, and they weren't disappointed. Peerless lyrical agility, coupled with a sly, cheeky wit and a dose of good old fashioned British self-deprecation make up part of the package, but there's a whole load more to it than that, not least Joe's ability to sit right inside the music when he's rapping.. anyway, no need to take our word for it, there's a scrap book of the some of the press reviews opposite (click to enlarge and you should be able to read some of it), and you can take a listen to all the tracks from the album right here
