Son Records exists to bring you quality British hip-hop. We've been doing that for over 10 years now since our first 12" in February 1998, and in that time we've covered a lot of ground - from straight-up bangers to mellow lyrical gems to brain-tweaking experimentalism, not to mention the odd bit of inspirational weirdness..
Always working without regard to hype and the whole who's-hot-this-week distraction, from day one til now, it's always been about the music and putting artists out there who deserve to be heard cos they've got something to say, whether that be with their mics or their MPC. So now at last we have the site we've aways wanted, where you can hear everything (and if you're after free stuff, sign up in the members section, where we'll be regularly adding some exclusive bits and pieces for download).
